Designed to comply with the CSA Z1210-17 Standard.

This course meets Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) and Workplace First Aid (WFA) standards but is not recognized by CNESST in the province of Québec.

Intended for

To take this course, the participant must have a current Standard First Aid (SFA) certificate. This 1-day recertification class is intended for those who use their First Aid skills on a regular basis, it is a challenge of the Intermediate First Aid course content and requires the student to demonstrate all essential practical skills in addition to passing the theoretical exam. Upon Completion

Students will be required to participate in Skills Assessments, as well as have the ability to perform CPR for minimum 2-minute timeframe, as well as pass a written exam with a passing grade of 70%. A Certificate of Completion will be given in the form of a wallet card and wall certificate valid for 3 years.

  • CPR for adults, children, and infants
  • Using AEDs
  • Choking and breathing emergencies
  • Mental health first aid
  • Opioid overdose awareness
  • Bleeding and burn management
  • Bone and joint injuries
  • Environmental emergencies

Students will be required to participate in physical activity including bending and kneeling comfortable clothing is encouraged to accommodate activities.

Students must be on time and present for all course content instruction. Students who miss any course content cannot be certified and registration fees will not be reimbursed, as per the Cancellation Policy
