The components of the training course are in compliance with Alberta OH&S legislation. This fall protection course incorporates many industry best practices and is ultimately designed to exceed industry standards.
Intended for
The course is a comprehensive study of fall protection and offers instruction on areas such as (but not limited to): Fall protection planning and procedures and will teach students how to navigate working at heights and how to identify equipment like harnesses and other critical fall protection components.
Upon Successful Completion
Upon successful completion of this training program, demonstration of hands-on practicals and completion of a closed book exam with a passing score of minimum 70%, you will receive a Certificate of Completion that is valid for 3 years. Employers will have the responsibility of deeming the worker competent.

- Legislation Overview and Due Diligence
- Identifying fall protection systems and components
- Calculating Free Fall Distance and Minimum Clearance Required Fall Clearance
- Consequence of Fall Injuries
- Fall Hazards and hierarchy of controls
- Fall Protection Plans
- Harness classifications, inspection, donning and doffing
- Rescue and Escape Planning
Students who do not complete the course cannot be certified and registration fees will not reimbursed, as per the Cancellation Policy
